Dan Hueber

Dan Hueber’s roots run deep in agriculture as his family has been involved in farming and the grain and feed business in the U.S. since 1853. Dan began his career in the cash grain business managing independent grain elevators when he was 19 years old, but his true interest always lay in commodity market analysis, and economics. He entered the commodity brokerage business specializing in agricultural hedging opening an independent advisory and brokerage firm in Sycamore, Illinois in 1988.

In 2002, he joined forces with Diversified Services, a leading crop insurance provider and headed up their grain marketing and commodity brokerage operations through 2018. During that time, he continued to publish The Hueber Report, the news and advisory letter that has subscribers in 48 of the 50 states in the U.S. as well as many global Ag export/import countries around the globe.

Throughout his ag business career he has been very active in producer market education and has taught risk management classes at local colleges. Dan is a frequent guest on a number of farm radio and television programs throughout the United States and is a regular analyst on the long running PBS program Market to Market. Dan is a frequent speaker at risk management and outlook seminars and continues to conduct educational seminar. He is a regular contributor to such publications as Agweb.com, and the Wall Street Journal. He holds a BA in Business Entrepreneurship from Ashford University. As a founder of Reding Hueber he will continue to write “The Hueber Report” and focus on Technical and fundamental strategy for Reding Hueber. Dan continues to provide consulting to individual operations.

Nathan Reding

It took nearly 20 years, and several stops around the country to bring Nathan back to his hometown in Indiana.

First, he would attain a degree in Quantitative Ag Economics from Purdue University. After an internship with Consolidated Grain and Barge he joined a full service farm marketing company helping producers manage their risks. His grain merchandising career would begin with an opportunity to merchandise corn on the export desk for Zen Noh Grain Corporation from their export facility located in the Port of New Orleans. Soon he would move to manager of futures hedging and proprietary trading positions for CGB, a sister company.

Two years later Nate would return to Zen-Noh Grain Corporation to manage the feed grain export programs for the company. This experience allowed Nathan to build contacts and relationships around the world. Throughout a decade with Zen Noh and CGB, Nathan experienced multiple large-risk and market-changing events, giving him an extensive background in risk and profit and loss management.

After leaving Zen Noh in 2016, Nathan joined JBS in Greeley, Colorado, the largest meat processor in the world and one of the largest consumers of U.S. corn and Meal. Nathan was tasked with leveraging market information from the JBS system as well as his career of physical grain trading experience to manage an allocated risk position in a hedge fund-type environment.

Two years later Nathan took a leap of faith purchasing a majority interest in his family’s organic and non-gmo grain conditioning business, Langeland Farms, located in Greensburg, Indiana. After extensive expansion, the company is now a food grade processor for all types of grains and also a licensed Organic Food conditioner.

Nathan’s diverse background in futures trading, physical grain trading, business development, risk management, and grain operations has been tied together with the advent of the Reding Hueber Ag Consulting company. The overall goal of our entire team is to bring our extensive knowledge and experience to our clients in a way that adds real value, stability, and profitability to their operations.

Boyd Baker

Boyd brings to Reding Hueber over 35 years of commodity trading experience. As a graduate from the University of Illinois in Ag Business, Boyd learned the cash side of the business working at The Andersons in Champaign, IL. In 1986 he moved to the CBOT where he helped grow Epstein and Company into one of the largest discount commodity brokerage firms. After several years of assisting clients in reducing risk, he became director of the Managed Asset Division representing some of the nations top CTAs.

Boyd published his Futures and Options Report for many years and extensively created option strategies based on his previous experience working with CTAs. Boyd became a PriceCount enthusiast adding that tool to his extensive technical background ultimately creating the PriceCount Advisory Report to his digital client base.

Boyd resides in Elmhurst, Illinois with his wife and three sons. He is an avid outdoor enthusiast loving to fish and hunt, and supports a family business of creating flower gardens for homes and businesses.

Susan David

With no prior grain experience, Susan began working at a small country elevator right out of college in 2005. Her natural knack for merchandising would later lead to a career with ADM at their St. Louis area river facilities beginning in 2008. After seven years with ADM, Susan joined Consolidated Grain & Barge in focusing on producer origination at their Cahokia, Illinois river facility. Fifteen years of grain marketing experience including 12 years in one of the most competitive cash markets and highest volume facilities in the country has given Susan immense experience and a perspective it is difficult to duplicate.

Susan’s innovative style and unique approach to origination helped her business grow exponentially in recent years. During Susan’s time with CGB, she was best known for the weekly wire – Straight Talk with Susan. This unique, educational marketing wire was designed to help producers gain a better understanding of today’s markets and encourage execution of risk management strategies.

Susan has a passion for communication that includes telling producers what they need to hear versus what they want to hear. That forthright approach in combination with her deep understanding of cash markets and extensive background has fueled her professional development and customers’ success.

Born and raised on a cattle farm in southeast Missouri, Susan earned a degree in Agribusiness from Southeast Missouri State University and received a Master of Agriculture in Poultry Science from Texas A&M University. She resides in Bonne Terre, Missouri, with her husband, John, and children, Tripp and Genevieve. Together they operate an egg distribution company and their farm is home to a large cattle backgrounding operation. At Reding Hueber Susan will focus on directing client relationships , and supervising information and idea flow to all customers

Jake Wiener

Jake’s career in agriculture could be termed well rounded, as he has enjoyed a long industrious career serving area producers for the past 40 years. He began his career working the labor side of the grain business; probing trucks, loading barges & rail cars. Shortly thereafter he got the opportunity shift his career & began working his way into accounting/payable department, then dispatching fleet of trucks, where he eventually that landed him the assistant transportation manager with Countrymark Coop in Cincinnati, Ohio after securing his transportation degree at the University of Cincinnati.

Still not finding his true passion, he worked his way from grain buyer to origination manager for the Coop for several years. In this position Jake had develop a long list of customers, who he helped in marketing their grain while procuring bushels for his employer. His career with the Coop lasted 29 years.

However, in 1996, he opted to switch companies, and began working for Consolidated Grain & Barge as their origination manager in Cincinnati. Shortly thereafter, a new division was born, Diversified Services. Here is where Jake found his dream job. Working “one on one” with area producers on a per hire basis. Using his fast knowledge of the local cash markets and fundamental analysis, he was able to develop as successful list of clientele, many who remain clients today.

Jake resides in Harrison, Ohio. He has 3 adult children, and 5 grand-children. He loves spending time spoiling them. He loves the outdoors, especially fishing.
